Roman Abramovich gives ‘massive condition’ for spending £300 million on transfers this summer

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly willing to back Lampard with £300 million to spend in the transfer market if certain conditions are met.

However, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on strengthening the squad this summer as he seeks to build a team capable of challenging Liverpool for the title next season.

According to Daily Mirror, Abramovich is prepared to sanction further big-money signings this summer only if transfer chief Marina Granovskaia is able to raise funds by selling some of the club’s fringe players.

Chelsea have already signed Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech but Lampard is keen on adding Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice to his squad ahead of next season.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, Victor Moses, Jorginho and Ross Barkley are some of the players that could be sold by the club this summer.
