Rudiger confirms the striker Lampard will start against Manchester United

Chelsea have only scored just once in three meetings against United this season, conceding 8 goals in the process.

Frank Lampard must get his tactics right if the Blues must beat Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final clash at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has backed Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud to do a great job against United.

Giroud has scored four goals since the Premier League restarted and four of those goals have come in five starts.

Speaking about Giroud, Rudiger has revealed that the Frenchman will do a good job against United. “I’m really looking forward to the game,” Antonio Rudiger told the German FA’s website (h/t Goal).

“Manchester United are in great form – I mean, they haven’t lost in 18 or 19 games. They beat us twice in the league, too, so they’ll come into it with a huge amount of confidence.

“It’s going to be a tough fight, but the good thing for us is that Olivier Giroud is firing again. He struggled for a while and some had already written him off.”
