Serie A club ready to sell £102M player to Chelsea, Blues leading race in shock deal to sign 181goals player, as Tuchel win Premier league manager of the month

Inter Milan have placed a £102 million valuation on forward Romelu Lukaku who has been linked with a move back to the Premier League – Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked.

The 27-year-old has netted 25 times and has been targeted as possible striking options for Chelsea and Man City as an alternative to Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund.

And Corriere dello Sport claim that Inter have placed a £102 million price-tag on the Belgian centre-forward, who they signed for around £75 million back in 2019 from Manchester United.

Lukaku’s contract runs until 2024 but Inter could be forced to sell one of their top stars this summer due to their tough financial situation which has seen them lose around £115 million for the 2020-21 financial year.

Haaland is the prime target for Chelsea and Manchester City as his representatives take a tour to the interested clubs to scope out their interest and proposals.

Chelsea have also been linked with Sergio Aguero who will leave Manchester City at the end of the season.

Chelsea lead race in shock deal for Man City icon Aguero

According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea are the frontrunners to sign Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero on a free transfer this summer.

Aguero will leave City when his deal expires at the end of the season after a decade at the club with a long list of suitors after the 32-year-old.

Barcelona are reportedly keen on brining Aguero to Camp Nou as part of their attempt to convince fellow Argentine Leo Messi to remain at the club.

There are also several clubs in Serie A interested in Aguero, who has scored more goals in Premier League history than any other foreign player, but the veteran’s preference is to remain in England.

Suggestions of a controversial cross-town swap to Manchester United have been rubbished but Chelsea are serious on landing Aguero.

Chelsea have, like many of Europe’s elite clubs, earmarked Erling Haaland as a top transfer target this summer but there are other clubs ahead of them in the race for his signature.

Thomas Tuchel wants to sign a new striker this summer regardless whether they miss out on Haaland given Timo Werner’s difficult first season in England.

Tuchel win Premier league manager of the month

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel arrived at the club in January and has since gone unbeaten.

He has fixed a somewhat leaky defence and got this team playing with a lot of confidence to win matches, progressing back up the league, into the semi finals of the FA Cup, and into the quarter finals of the Champions League.

The month of March was particularly successful for the German boss, and this has been recognised by the Premier League now, who have voted Tuchel as the manager of the month for March (see video below).
