“Smart Chelsea”,” I loved their style” – Agbonlahor congratulates Chelsea after a successful against Arsenal

Gabriel Agbonlahor has questioned Arsenal’s decision to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea, insisting that the German offers nothing to his new team.

However, The Blues offloaded Havertz in the summer transfer window, after he failed to reach top heights in his three seasons at the club, after he moved to the West London club from Bayer Leverkusen.

In 19 games, the forward has however, scored just one goal and picked up one assist, leading to doubts regarding his ability to help a Gunners side that finished second in the Premier League last season, and Agbonlahor thinks that Chelsea will certainly be the happier of the two parties involved in the transfer, which cost Mikel Arteta’s side £60m.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said: “Kai Havertz cost £65 million, Chelsea must have been thinking to themselves, you want to pay that, what?

“Wow, we’ve got £65 million for Havertz! Mason Mount went for big money as well [to Manchester United in the summer transfer window].

“Havertz, he’s not quick, he’s weak, can’t hold the ball up, gets brushed off the ball, no creativity, no pace, not clinical, I don’t know what he offers.”
