Spanish player believes he can double his salary and win trophies if he signs for Chelsea
According to latest reports, the agent of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele believes the winger can double his current Barcelona salary if he leaves the Spanish side for Chelsea, Manchester United or Juventus.
However, this is according to a report on ESPN which also claims Chelsea alongside Manchester United and Juventus are pushing to sign the Barcelona winger.
Dembele’s contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the season and the France international is yet to extend his Barcelona contract.
Dembele also reportedly believes while he would earn more by leaving Barcelona, he also has a better chance of winning trophies if he leaves the Spanish club.
Barcelona are going through financial difficulties at the moment and failed to qualify from their Champions League group. They are currently 7th in the La Liga, 15 points behind leaders Real Madrid.
Barcelona reportedly hope to convince Dembele to extend his contract by offering the France international a lower salary with various bonuses that could see him become one of the club’s highest earners if he and the team perform well.
