‘Sure am disappointed with that’ – Potter finally reveals one ‘big’ disappointment in 3-0 win over Wolves

‘Sure am disappointed with that’ – Potter finally reveals one big disappointment in 3-0 win over Wolves

Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has enjoyed a successful start to his managerial career.

After a disappointing 1-1 tie with RB Salzburg, Potter’s team has now won three straight matches, the most recent of which was a 3-0 triumph over Wolves.

Graham Potter praised his team’s performance after the game, but he expressed disappointment that they hadn’t scored earlier.

“It wasn’t easy, that’s for sure,” he said.

“These games never are in the Premier League, especially when we played on Wednesday in a big game.

“To recover and to prepare was not straightforward but we’ve got a really good group that are committed, that are together, that are fighting for each other, so it’s positive.

“I thought we played well in the first half. Disappointed maybe not to score a bit earlier than we did, but I think the goal was important when it came.

“Then credit to Wolves, I thought they started the second half well and we had to adjust a little bit, scored at the right time, and maybe that’s the bit of breathing space you need in the game.

“Then for Armando to finish off is great for us, but it wasn’t a straightforward game, we had to fight for it and credit to the boys they did that.”
