“Three teams going for it” – as Liverpool player reacted to Chelsea’s die minute goal against Leeds
Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all won their games this weekend by a goal margin, and they all needed a penalty to beat their opponents.
It’s a three horse race for the title at the moment, and many believe that this season’s title race will go down the wire, until the final day of the season.
For Chelsea, the Blues had two penalties, and one was taken at the death.
However, Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold was asked about Chelsea’s last-gasp win after the Reds defeated Aston Villa on Saturday, and he admitted that it’s an exciting race for the title so far and urged his side to avoid any slip-up.
“Didn’t know that,” Alexander-Arnold told Premier League productions. “Just seen that they scored a last-minute penalty.
“But we can’t complain because we did the same last week. That’s the title race really, these things happen and it makes it exciting.
“Three teams going for it this year it seems like. We have to keep winning. This is an important period. The games come thick and fast.
“So, any sort of slip-up right now will be detrimental. We want to be top of the league come March and April to push in during the final run-in.”
