‘To be honest we have good players to replace him’ — as Blues fan reveals after latest Chelsea player injury update

Following Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Palmeiras Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount had to be forced out of the contest 30 minutes into the game, after appearing to have suffered an ankle injury.

However, The England International Mount, looked in pain and was replaced by Christian Pulisic in the first half. He also looked in serious discomfort during the post-match celebrations, and avoided putting any weight on his right leg, as he hopped around and leaned on another injured Chelsea man, Ben Chilwell.

In a video posted to social media by Chilwell, Mount’s right ankle was heavily strapped and appeared to have an ice pack on it as well.

It’s yet to be seen how long Mount will be out, but A Chelsea fan doesn’t think the England international will be missed much.

A fan comment that:

“I wish Mason all the best for his recovery, but to be honest I personally don’t think he will be missed, we have good players to step in”.

Meanwhile, Mason Mount might be out for weeks after this serious injury.
