Chelsea have already completed deals for Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva, Chelsea fans will be wondering when the deal for Kai Havertz will be completed.
Indeed, Havertz deal has taken a long time, and has been the most complicated deal the Blues had been involved in this summer.
Despite all the complications, Kai Havertz deal is believed to be 90% wrapped up, and it’s a case of sooner rather than later.
Standard Sports Simon Phillips has confirmed in a report that Chelsea have been able to reach a total agreement Bayer Leverkusen for Kai Havertz, but all that’s left in negotiations is regarding bonuses.
He tweeted: “Chelsea have a total agreement with Bayer to sign Kai Havertz. Hold up is about how bonuses will be paid i.e Chelsea winning CL. It will be done.”
According to sources, Havertz move from the Bundesliga to the Premier League “could be completed at most next week”, with the deal already in its final stages.
Havertz is expected to be the club record signing and his deal could cost around £90 million (including add-ons), taking the club’s spending past £220m for the summer.
