Tuchel is a big fan as Former Chelsea star could make shock Stamford Bridge return
According to Nathan Gissing, Chelsea are interested in re-signing Nathan Ake.
A new rumor has surfaced linking the versatile central defender with a return to Stamford Bridge, where he spent years as a member of the development program before heading to Bournemouth.
During his tenure at City, he has mostly served as a squad player, never really establishing himself as Pep Guardiola’s first choice central defender.
With Ruben Dias, John Stones, and Aymeric Laporte all ahead of him in the pecking order, getting to the top of the heap will be a difficult task, as he has spent much of his time in cup competitions or playing out of position.
Thomas Tuchel is a “huge fan” of Ake, according to Gissing, and this could be the driving force behind the move. It wouldn’t surprise us in the least if the Blues pulled it off this summer.
