Tuchel reveals why three Chelsea players could miss Southampton clash after missing training

Ahead of Saturday’s clash with Southampton, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he has three injury worries.

However, apart from Ben Chilwell who is out until the end of the season, Tuchel has revealed that Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech and Romelu Lukaku are also in doubt for the trip to the St Mary’s.

The Chelsea manager confirmed that Hudson-Odoi may be out for some weeks more, while Ziyech and Lukaku who both came on as subs against Real Madrid have little injury worries.

Tuchel confirmed at his pre-match press conference: “Callum Hudson-Odoi is still out and we have a little doubt over Romelu and Hakim Ziyech,”

“They were not in training yesterday and we need to see if they are able to join in today’s session. We need a test and confirmation following training, to see if they are available for tomorrow. Romelu has achilles pain, it’s nothing serious but it is just quite painful for him.

“With Callum, it doesn’t look too good and it is not a matter of days at the moment, its more a matter of weeks.”
