Following Ben Chilwell’s injury Chelsea have been trying to have a backup as the Blues continues to search for his perfect replacement.
However, according to latest reports reaching us, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has reportedly turned down the chance to sign a new left back to provide Ben Chilwell cover.
Transfer window ends next week and Chelsea are still yet to sort out a new wing back option to come in and provide cover for the injuries they have to both Chilwell, and Reece James.
Thomas Tuchel was complaining about tiredness during a busy fixture schedule after our draw with Brighton this week, and he has a point. So why on earth have we known about Chilwell’s injury since November but have yet to bring in any personnel to help Tuchel? Inexcusable if you ask me.
Anyway, they have been offered Layvin Kurzawa of PSG, according to Footmercato below. But Thomas Tuchel is not so keen and has said no to that option.
I’m pleased that at least the board have listened to him there and as of now, are not pursing Kurzawa.
