Tuchel told he now has the ‘perfect replacement’ for Lukaku NOW at Chelsea after summer arrival

The perfect replacement for the departing Romalu Lukaku has already been identified, and his name is Armando Broja, according to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea took the important decision to permit Lukaku to leave the team and return to Italian football with Inter Milan after a very difficult season back in the Premier League.

He just agreed to a loan move, which means Chelsea will need to use their transfer budget this summer to try to add a striker to their assault who can score the goals that Lukaku is unable to.

But despite the fact that the club has been tied to several famous people Johnson, a former Chelsea defender, thinks Armando Broja can fill Romelu Lukaku’s shoes in the upcoming campaign.

The 20-year-old made an impression during his season long loan to Southampton and had caught the attention of West Ham, but Johnson feels that staying at Chelsea is in his best interests.

He said: ‘I think Chelsea are going to be reluctant to spend scary money again considering what happened with the Romelu Lukaku signing.

‘If it was up to me, then I’d give Armando Broja a chance rather than spending £80 million on a replacement. I’d rather get it wrong with a player that I’ve already got, rather than get it wrong by spending £80 million.

‘Broja is technically good in front of goal but I don’t know how good he is yet. He did score some fantastic goals for Southampton but, let’s face it, Southampton aren’t Chelsea.

‘He’s going to get more goal scoring opportunities at Chelsea and he’s technically good enough to score more next season.’
