UK Government sees Billionaire man as ‘frontrunners’ to buy Chelsea after fresh ‘talks’
According to latest reports, The UK Government reportedly have their preferred party to buy Chelsea Football Club as the deadline for offers to come in approaches.
However, Friday is the final day when bids can be submitted, and there are probably bids going in that we don’t even hear about.
One that we have heard about and has been made very public, is the pursuit by a consortium led by American Todd Boehly, who is joined by Swiss Billionaire Hansjorg Wyss.
Apparently the pair have met up again over the weekend for more ‘talks’ with their offer having already gone in last week, according to the Swiss reporter who broke their interest, Nicola Imfeld.
He also claims that the UK Government see the America/Swiss consortium as the frontrunners to buy Chelsea FC.
The consortium is said to be not concerned about the reported offer from Saudi Media and appear confident of buying the club.
#BREAKING: After some talks over the weekend in Los Angeles with Todd Boehly, Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss is right now on his way back to Boston. It's unclear what the two of them discussed. The bid to acquire #Chelsea is already in. No deal will happen this week.

#Chelsea (1/2): I‘m told from multiple sources that the Swiss-American consortium is not concerned about the bid from a Saudi consortium. The UK government still sees Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, U.S. businessman Todd Boehly and real estate tycoon Jonathan Goldstein pic.twitter.com/a1ZUOqw6Ux
