International break is under full swing this week and Germany had their first game of the period last night.
Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz was instrumental gaining two assists as the Germans went 3-1 up against Turkey. However, it was a disappointing end for Joachim Low’s side who ended up conceding late to draw the match 3-3.
There was no Timo Werner, he didn’t even join up with the squad.
This was due to being a little under the weather with ‘flu-like’ symptoms. As a pre-caution, the Chelsea striker took a new Covid-19 test and stayed at home in London.
It has been reported today by Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella that those results have thankfully come back as negative, Werner is Covid-free!
He is now likely to join up with the Germany squad for next week’s match as long as he recovers from his cold.
It was a tense day or two waiting on the results though!
Update: Werner has tested negative and is covid free. He will now link up with Germany. https://t.co/MwYnmVC1Rf
