(VIDEO): Chelsea fans hail Kai Havertz after making 2 stunning assists for Germany

Chelsea new star Kai Havertz was in fine form for his national team on Wednesday, as Germany played out a 3-3 draw with Turkey.

The 24-year-old summer signing provided a defence-splitting pass for Julian Draxler to open the scoring on the stroke of half-time, and then showed some mesmerising quick feet on the edge of the box to set up the second for Florian Neuhaus.

Chelsea fans have been full of praise for the German star, and took to social media to show how impressed they are.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol was critical of Havertz performance despite his double assists and said that the 21-year-old drifted in and out of the game too frequently.

“It’s weird [with Kai Havertz],” Nicol told ESPN.

“Some of the things he did [against Turkey] were really delicate and simple and well executed. “But then he disappeared for long periods so he kind of played the way he does for Chelsea.

“He’s kind of nowhere and then he will have a lovely touch or a nice pass with the perfect weight. He will do something that keeps you interested.

“Officially he had two assists but he was in and out of the game and that’s not what you would expect from a guy who has cost so much money.”
