“We are going to Stamford Bridge to beat Chelsea”- Jose Mourinho

Chelsea play host to Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening, and it’s a huge game for the two sides.

Tottenham have a huge run of fixtures ahead, which started with Manchester City, but Jose Mourinho led Spurs to a 2-0 win against Pep Guardiola’s side.

Spurs are currently top of the league, while Chelsea are in third and two points behind Spurs, making this game a crucial one.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s game, Jose Mourinho has said that he doesn’t care about the Premier League table, and that his objective is to beat Chelsea at the Bridge.

“Going [to Stamford Bridge] top of the league or going there with Liverpool top of the league doesn’t change anything for us,” said Mourinho, who reiterated playing former club Chelsea was just another game.

“As I was saying since the beginning of the season we are only or always contenders to win the next match. Nothing more than that.

“We are going to be there [at Chelsea], with three possible results. We are in football for a long time, we know that anything can happen, but we go there, and our objective is to win the game.”
