‘We must not lose him, we can never get a better one’ – Ben Chilwell says on Chelsea key man
Roman Abramovich’s 19-year reign as owner of Chelsea came to an end this summer when Todd Boehly’s group took over the club’s ownership from the Russian.
Ben Chilwell reports that Thomas Tuchel has the team’s complete support and that the manager handled the issue wonderfully over the past two months.
He told the Evening Standard: “We have full confidence in the manager – we know we’re not going to get a better manager here. I’m not just saying it. He’s an unbelievable manager in all aspects, and I think he has a lot of trust in us as well.
Chilwell added: “We’ve got a great manager. New ownership. A great training ground. Good backroom staff. So everything’s in place to have a good season.
“This is Chelsea, we want to win the big trophies. And of course, we’re positive going into this season, like we are every season. We’ve got a strong team. Hopefully, we can add to that strength with some good players.”
However, In just one and a half seasons with the club, Tuchel has guided Chelsea to the Champions League title and three domestic cup finals.
There is currently no one better for the team, and Chilwell and company will hopefully keep adding to their collection of championships while playing for the German manager.
