Welcome to Stamford Bridge? Tuchel wants stunning £70million powerhouse at Chelsea
There has been some stunning reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea are eyeing up a transfer deal for Romelu Lukaku as an alternative to their top transfer target Erling Haaland, but would he be welcome
Despite going unbeaten since taking over the club a few months ago, Thomas Tuchel is a man that knows he needs to improve certain areas of the pitch in the coming transfer window to turn this Chelsea side into Premier League winners.
And with the likes of Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud all failing to impress in front of goal this season, It is pretty clear that the German coach wants to add a premium striker to the attack.
WHAT IS THE LATEST?
The Blues face intense competition for Haaland’s signature this summer, with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City all linked with a move for the Norweigan.
That has prompted the London club to consider alternatives with Lukaku, who made just 15 appearances in his first spell at the club between 2011 and 2013, high on their wanted list.
WILL HE HEAD BACK TO CHELSEA?
Lukaku was never really given a chance to shine at Stamford Bridge, but he has made a very good career for himself away from the club, so even though Chelsea are interested, he would surely not want to go back to a club that failed to keep their promises the first time around.
It will be interesting to see which striker Tuchel gets in the summer window, but we would be very shocked to see him arrive at Chelsea.
And the fact that Chelsea fans would prefer Haaland means that they would be disappointed to see anyone else arrive
