The Austrian is out of contract in the summer and talks over a new Bayern Munich deal have stalled.
Alaba was offered a new contract at Bayern but after he rejected it, it’s believed the Bundesliga club took it off the table with the defender looking for a new challenge.
Chelsea are preparing to begin negotiations with Alaba in January when clubs from outside Germany can begin negotiations over a pre-contract agreement.
