Why I want to retire at earlier stage – Chelsea player reveals after latest development

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho was on top of the world few months ago, as he was voted third in the Ballon d’Or awards.

However,Jorginho was a key man for club and country, as Chelsea won the Champions League and Italy won the Euros.

Fast forward to a few months after, Italy have failed to qualify for the World Cup, for the second time in a row.

Jorginho was massively criticised for Italy’s failure, following his penalty miss in the World Cup qualifiers.

According to Corriere dello Sport, three Italian players including Jorginho, Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne left the Italian camp at the weekend.

The report claims it could be a sign that the massively criticised trio are contemplating international retirement after failing to help their nation qualify for the World Cup.

Jorginho will be 31 in December, and by the next World Cup, he’d be approaching 35.
