According to latest reports, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has always demanded excellence from the club since purchasing the club in 2003.
However, Abramovich has a reputation for not having patience with managers, and Jose Mourinho’s three-and-a-half year spell remains the longest time a manager has been at the club under Roman Abramovich.
Italian journalist Fabio Carresa has revealed how Abramovich usually sent Carlo Ancelotti a question mark after every defeat.
Carresa said, as quoted by The Sun: “Ancelotti told me that Abramovich also texted him, always the same, especially in times when things were not going well,”
“He only sent him a question mark.
“Instead he, the genius that is Carlo, answered him only with an exclamation mark.”
