Why Tuchel shouted at Cesar Azpilicueta in Brentford clash finally revealed

The Blues narrowly beat inform Brentford 1-0 as the Blues top the Premier league table once again with 19 points.

However, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was abnormally calm. There was the odd instruction yelled out across the pitch and applause for a moment of quality.

But for the most part, the German was reserved. That changed after the break.

That was almost certainly because the game became far more difficult for Chelsea. The Blues held the lead through Chilwell but Brentford were far more assertive in possession and active in trying to reclaim the ball.

Tuchel wanted the same energy out of possession from his side. That is why when the Bees attempted to construct an attack from defence, he was on Cesar Azpilicueta to set the tone for the press.

“Go, Azpi! Yes, yes, yes!” Tuchel bellowed down the touchline. He then gave the Spaniard a clap as he returned to his position.

Unfortunately, that was one of the few occasions Tuchel was content as Chelsea attempted to see out the game. There was anger with Taylor, frustration with his own players, and his coaching staff got their usual earful.
