‘Will they give us the Carabao Cup title back?’ – Tuchel slams latest Liverpool’s quest ahead of FA Cup final

Liverpool beat Chelsea to the Carabao Cup trophy two months ago, and are still in the race for the title, semi-finals of the Champions League, and the FA Cup final.

However, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has slammed a reporter who asked him about Liverpool’s quest to do a quadruple this season.

Chelsea and Liverpool will clash in the FA Cup final on May 14, and Tuchel has insisted that his focus is on winning the trophy and not Liverpool’s agenda.

Tuchel told Sky Sports after today’s win at Wembley: “I don’t care about their other titles.”

“We lost the final [against Liverpool] but we gave everything. It was a big match that went until the very last penalty. Of course we want to turn things around, but it will not give us the Carabao Cup title back.

“We are here and we here last season in the FA Cup final. That means a lot to us because it is the FA Cup, the most prestigious and traditional cup in the world.

“There are not many bigger games to be part of, and that’s why we are grateful and will be well-prepared because we play against one of the strongest teams in the world, who have outstanding form. It will be a tough one and we will try to make life hard for them.”
