According to AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini, who is now technical director at the Italian club, has hailed Chelsea transfer target Gianluigi Donnarumma as the best goalkeeper in the world.
However, Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for the 21 year old goalkeeper, whose AC Milan contract will expire in the summer of 2021.
Premier League sides Everton and Tottenham are also reportedly interested in the AC Milan stopper.
“It is certainly Milan’s duty to try and keep hold of an important player like Gigio, for what he represents as a symbol, a player who came up through our youth academy,” Maldini said, as cited by HITC.
“In my humble opinion, he is the best goalkeeper in the world.”
