According to Don Balon, Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
However, Defence has been a major issue for Chelsea this season and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is reportedly keen on strengthening the defence this summer.
The Blues will fight Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal for the signature of the RB Leipzig centre-back.
RB Leipzig reportedly value the centre-back at around £55 million and he is expected to leave the German club this summer, with his contract expiring in the summer of 2021.
Lampard’s other option in strengthening the defence is signing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, who Lampard wants to deploy in central defence.
