‘Blame yourself’, ‘no manager can trust you’ – Thierry Henry slams Chelsea star after another lack of game time under in Potter

Thierry Henry, a Premier League legend, thinks Christian Pulisic must find a way to improve his current circumstances at Chelsea.

In nine appearances across tournaments, Pulisic has played a total of 183 minutes on the field, with just one of those starts coming for the Blues this season. He sat on the sidelines for the majority of Wednesday’s 3-0 victory over AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League (October 5).

The former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel also wasn’t very good to the American player. Only 21 of the 38 games Pulisic started last season saw him score eight goals and provide five assists.

Henry suggested that the winger’s lack of playing time cannot be attributed to the manager alone after the Blues’ triumph over AC Milan. While serving as a CBS Sports pundit, the Frenchman said:

“How many managers are not going to trust you? It’s got to be you at some point, so find a way.”

Pulisic notably assisted his side’s winner against Crystal Palace over the weekend. Henry urged the forward to produce such moments on a consistent basis and said:

“The other day Conor Gallagher came on against Crystal Palace — yes I know he gave him the ball and Gallagher still had to score that goal that will go down as an assist — but it’s showing something. That’s why Gallagher came on tonight because he scored against Palace away.”

The American will hope to get some game-time over the weekend when the Blues take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
