Chelsea are in hot pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz and the Blues have contacted the German club to enquire about the 21 year old.
The Athletic claimed last week that there’s still a long way to go for Chelsea to make the deal for Havertz happen, with Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen miles apart in terms of reaching an agreement.
According to Daily Express, Bayer Leverkusen are under no pressure to sell Havertz and want £90 million for the 21 year old midfielder but the Blues aren’t willing to pay more than £75 million.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly asked the club to step up interest in Havertz once the deal for Timo Werner is completed.
How much do you think Chelsea should offer for Havertz?
