According to latest reports, Chelsea have offered a tempting big money contract to Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele
However, The 24 years old, has failed to agree a new contract at the Nou Camp, with his current deal set to expire this summer, and that has led to alot of speculation that he could come to the Premier League
Chelsea are very much interested in getting some kind of transfer deal done, especially after the Spanish club told him he could leave the club during the January transfer window after failing to agree that new contract.
That suggested that we were preparing to offer him a massive contact at the end of the season to tempt him to Stamford Bridge on a massive deal, but it seems that the Blues board have already starting making moves to get a deal done
According to Todo Fichajes, the club have offered him a contract that looks set to meet his demands and he is now interested in leaving Barcelona
It has been claimed in recent media reports that an offer of £400,000-a-week is the kind of contract demands that he wants to stay at Barcelona, but considering they cannot offer him that kind of money, Chelsea have swooped in
However, Dembele certainly has the potential to be a massive star for the club, but with all those injury issues that he has, that is the worry. No-one has ever doubted that he will be world class, its just whether the Blues could keep him fit in the Premier League
So it will be interesting to see if these reports are correct as there is alot of speculation flying around about the future of the player.
But if he is able to stay fit, then yes he would be a great signing
