Chelsea boss Frank Lampard face an injury crisis ahead of their Premier League opener against Brighton next Monday.
The Blues could be without summer signings Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell while Reece James is also a doubt.
Ziyech picked up a knee injury during a preseason game against Brighton at the Amex Stadium last weekend.
Chilwell missed the end of last season with Leicester due to a heel problem. He last played in Leicester City’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on July 4, where he was substituted off at half-time.
James pulled out of the England Under-21 squad and faces a race against time to be ready for game against Brighton on September 14.
