Deal to be announced this week! As player set to conduct medical with Chelsea today – Fabrizio Romano confirms
On Tuesday, Chelsea announced that it had completed a deal with Aston Villa for the club’s popular teenager Carney Chukwuemeka.
Chukwuemeka’s transfer to Chelsea is anticipated to cost an initial £15 million, but further clauses might raise the cost to more than £20 million.
A statement from Chelsea read: “Aston Villa and Chelsea can confirm that the clubs have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Carney Chukwuemeka.
“The 18-year-old has been given permission to travel to London to discuss both personal terms and undergo a medical.”
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chukwuemeka is now in London to complete the deal.
The teenage sensation was linked with a move to Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, but Chelsea seemed to have pulled this one out of the blues.
