“He wants Chelsea move in few days” – Fabrizio Romano drops massive update on 85M Chelsea top target

According to reports, Wesley Fofana, a defender for Leicester City, has been the target of Chelsea’s recruitment, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

However, Before the summer transfer window closes on September 1, the Blues are ready to add some defensive reinforcements.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea recently acquired Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and appears to be interested in French defender Wesley Fofana.

For £36.5 million, Fofana moved from Saint-Etienne to Leicester City in 2020. He had a fantastic first season with the team, contributing to their FA Cup victory.

The defender was selected by Leicester City’s fans as the team’s Young Player of the Season. Due to a fractured fibula, the Frenchman missed the majority of the 2021–22 season but returned to action in April.

The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the Premier League’s most promising young talents despite not playing much last season.

The center-back might become the most expensive defender in football history if Leicester City is willing to pay between £80 and £85 million for him.

The Blues are making good headway in their pursuit of the Frenchman as of the 90th minute.

Fabrizio Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “Fofana, at the moment is the player they want to sign in the next few days, so let’s see if they will submit an official proposal.”
