Deco sends strong warning message to Barcelona as Chelsea set to make player’s transfer decision

Deco, the agent for Raphinha, appears to be fed up with Barcelona’s attempts to thwart Chelsea’s aqcuisition of the Leeds United star.

Deco has reportedly given Barcelona 48 hours to reach an agreement with Leeds United or he will reopen negotiations with Chelsea, according to reports from Brazil.

Raphinha was the subject of the most interest from Chelsea, who have already signed him to a contract with Leeds.

After Chelsea and Leeds had agreed, the deal, however, took a turn when Deco was sighted at Barcelona’s office.

Barcelona renewed its interest in Raphinha, and the two parties had already made personal arrangements four months prior.

Raphinha, despite substantial interest from Chelsea, has made it clear that he wants to join Barcelona.

That might not be the case any longer, though, as Barcelona and Leeds United are unable to come to terms.

Raphinha already has a contract with Chelsea, and according to Goal Brazil, Barcelona are running out of time since Deco is dissatisfied with their inability to finalize deals.

However, Raphinha has not been selected in Leeds’ pre-season tour and Leeds manager Jesse Marsch had also revealed this week that the winger’s situation should be sorted in no time.

Marsch said: “It hasn’t been an easy time for him this summer, things have come and gone and there’s been a lot of little discussions.

“Right now he’s our player, he showed up today [Thursday] and trained with everybody. He had such a good attitude. We had a very open and honest conversation about while he’s here he’s part of us and we’ll see what happens.

“There’s still a long way to go in the transfer window, I know he has hopes and dreams and we’ll see how everything goes.

“I said to him, I know he loves this team, this club and being here but we’ll see how things progress day by day.

“I think we just have to wait and see what happens in the next couple of days. There’s urgency from his end I think to come up with a solution and then we have to see where things stand and then make that decision.”
