Finally! Chelsea have agreed terms with £80m player – Fabrizio Romano confirms

According to reports, Wesley Fofana’s transfer to Chelsea might rank among the trickiest deals in recent memory.

Leicester City has the advantage because Fofana just recently committed to a long-term deal with the team.

In anticipation of when the two teams will agree on a cost, sources claim that Chelsea and Fofana have already established a personal deal.

Fabrizio Romano wrote on Twitter: “Wesley Fofana has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, so the contract would be ready in case the two clubs find an agreement.

“Chelsea are preparing a new bid as they want Fofana as priority target. Leicester insist on their position. Tough one, but still open.”

Chelsea are keen on signing Fofana before transfer deadline day, and have already reached personal terms with the player beforehand, so the deal will go on smoothly once a fee is agreed with Leicester City.

For Leicester City, they want nothing less than a world record fee for a defender, having received £80m for Harry Maguire.
