‘Forget it, is a huge gap between the two’ – Joe Cole singles out one Chelsea player for praise after 3-0 win over AC Milan
Chelsea and AC Milan were expected to have a challenging match, but the Blues came out on top 3-0.
Chelsea won thanks to goals from Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Reece James.
Following the game, former Chelsea star Joe Cole acknowledged the difference in caliber between Chelsea and AC Milan, calling AC Milan disappointing.
Reece James played superbly for Cole.
Cole told BT Sport: “There was a massive gulf in class between the two teams tonight. It was a routine win for Chelsea.
“It was very disappointing from Milan actually because they threw the towel in towards the end of the goal. That won’t sit well for Milan fans.
“But Chelsea were great, Reece James was sublime all night, there’s not enough superlatives for that man.
“It was so routine for Chelsea. To do that to an AC Milan shows we’re going in the right direction so I’m absolutely delighted.”
