Thiago Silva, a defender for Chelsea, criticized Anthony Taylor on Instagram for missing Cristian Romero pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair during Sunday’s 2-2 tie with Tottenham.

On Instagram, Thiago Silva criticized Anthony Taylor for failing to pull the hair of Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella in the lead-up to Tottenham’s equalizer on Sunday.

Chelsea appeared to be on track for a victory after Kalidou Koulibaly and Reece James put them in ahead twice each. Only for the visitors to tie the score both times in contentious circumstances, first with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and later with Harry Kane.

Before Tottenham’s first equalizer, Kai Havertz appeared to have been fouled, and Richarlison was standing in an offside position in front of Edouard Mendy as Hojbjerg’s shot got through. But Silva was particularly irritated by Spurs’ second goal.

Kane’s header itself was flawless, but it was obvious that Tottenham defender Cristiano Romero tugged Chelsea newcomer Cucurella’s hair in the penalty area during the buildup. Spurs were able to tie the score at 2-2 as a result of the game continuing because referee Taylor and the VAR officials decided to disregard what seemed to be a clear red card incident.

However, A furious Silva posted on Instagram to highlight the incident, uploading a picture of the moment Romero pulled Cucurella’s hair with the caption, translated from his native Portuguese, reading: “Haven’t you seen this??? No way. Can you pull hair out?”
