‘Informal agreement reached! as Chelsea player reach agreement with new club after rejecting new Chelsea deal

Antonio Rudiger is set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season after reaching an informal agreement with Real Madrid. This is according to The Independent via Daily Mail.

However, the contract of the 28 year old centre-back expires at the end of the season and the Blues are yet to reach an agreement with the German international over a new deal.

Rudiger is understood to have received more lucrative offers to join Madrid and Bayern Munich when his deal expires, meaning Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is resigned to losing him on a free transfer next summer as things stand.

Rudiger currently earns around £100,000-a-week at Chelsea and wants a new deal in excess of £200,000-a-week but the Blues are offering the centre-back a £140,000-a-week.

Real Madrid are leading the race for Rudiger’s signature after reaching an ‘informal agreement’ with his brother and agent Sahr Senesie.

Senesie met with Los Blancos chiefs a few weeks ago to discuss a potential free transfer for his sibling, which the two parties can officially begin negotiating at the turn of the year under the Bosman ruling.

While nothing has been signed as of yet, Chelsea may have the best part of a month to put a new and improved offer on the table and keep Rudiger out of Madrid’s clutches.
