‘He’s not for sale, he’s our future’ – Xavi warns Chelsea to stay away from Barcelona star
According to reports, Barcelona manager Xavi has stated that Chelsea transfer target Gavi has a long-term future in Barcelona and isn’t for sale.
Gavi, 17, is a personal target of Roman Abramovich as he and the Blues board look to strengthen the Blues’ midfield.
“We have to renew him already, if we need we’ll get the money between us,” Xavi told SPORT ahead of Barcelona’s trip to Sevilla on Tuesday night.
“We can’t lose these type of players. They have to be the base of the future.
“I understand that the club are working very hard for Gavi’s renewal, that’s fundamental for the team.”
