‘It kept us going after his words in the dressing room! Mason Mount finally reveals what Tuchel told Chelsea players as Chelsea beat Watford 2-1

The game against Watford was suspended with the scores goalless after ten minutes after a fan at the stadium suffered cardiac arrest.

However, Chelsea beat Watford 2-1 on Wednesday night at Vicarage Road to maintain our lead at the top of the Premier League table.

After the game resumed, Mason Mount opened the scoring before Emmanuel Dennis equalised before half-time. Hakim Ziyech was on target in the second period to give Chelsea the win.

Revealing what Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel told the players during the emergency break, Mount told Amazon Prime: “He said some firm words to us in the dressing room and it got us going.

“We know that as a group, but obviously he said it. As individuals, as leaders in the group, we knew we didn’t start enough. For 11 minutes, we did not keep the ball, or have it in their half. We knew individually.”
