Report: Chelsea demand any of these three Inter Milan players for Lukaku swap deal
Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku is pushing for a move away from Chelsea this summer, and the Blues are willing to let him go as long as it benefits them.
Inter Milan have apparently been offered two options if they want Lukaku: pay a £20 million loan fee or trade with an Inter Milan needed by Chelsea, according to new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.
Chelsea are interested in signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar, or Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni as part of the deal that will return Lukaku to Inter Milan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via Daily Mail.
Chelsea need to acquire a centre-back this summer after free agents Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger left. The Blues are willing to approve Lukaku’s departure if it means an Inter Milan centre-back joins Chelsea.
Lukaku’s loss for the sake of Lukaku’s gain Martinez, an Argentine striker, has also piqued Chelsea’s interest, as the Blues would require a striker following the departure of Lukaku.
Lukaku has struggled since returning to West London last summer, netting just eight goals in the Premier League, and infamously told the Italian media in December that he was unhappy at the club.
