Should Potter make a move for him? As £42m midfielder wants to join Chelsea in January

Journalist Simon Phillips recently spoke with Give Me Sport about Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo’s desire to join Chelsea and rejoin his former coach Graham Potter at Stamford Bridge. Added Phillips:

“The player, himself, has said that he would love to play for Chelsea.

“When you’re saying things like that, it’s pretty clear that you would jump at the move if it came along.

“That suddenly puts his club in a lesser position than what they normally would be and so, if Chelsea go in for him in the summer or even in January, it will be very interesting to see how he responds.”

Should Chelsea Boss Graham Potter Make A Move For Caicedo?

Caicedo loves a tackle in the middle of the park and is often quick to spot the danger that helps him earn the ball back for his team. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and can be a decent playmaker in the opponent’s half. The Ecuador sensation can even shoot the ball with power from long range and can retain possession accurately for his side in midfield.

Chelsea‘s new manager, Graham Potter knows Caicedo well from their time together at Brighton. Hence, he will be the perfect man to oversee his development and get the best out of him at Stamford Bridge in the coming seasons.

At 20, the future is quite bright for the South American whizkid as long as he continues to improve his all-round game with each season. Therefore, it makes a lot of sense for the Blues to make a move for Caicedo during the January transfer window or at the end of this campaign as he will be a great signing for them in the long run.
