“They make huge impact together & changed the game” – Tuchel hails three Chelsea players after 1-0 win over West Ham

What a difficult game for Chelsea, as the Blues scored a winner in the 90th minute of the match courtesy of substitute Christian Pulisic to secure all three points at Stamford Bridge.

However, With 75 minutes gone, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel decided to make three substitutions, bringing in Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Romelu Lukaku.

Tuchel reserved massive praise for Pulisic who scored the match winner, and was also pleased with the impact of fellow subs Lukaku and Ziyech.

Tuchel said: “Especially in the strikers, he had this period where he was on the run and he had the confidence. He was heavily involved up front and Timo had to wait for many weeks but now things turned around a bit from the Southampton game.

“Puli struggled since he came back from international break where he had three matches and an incredible amount of journeys and time zones to cope with. We tried to bring him back with full confidence from the bench and I’m happy with the effort today.

“I’m very happy that he had the chance to have this huge impact together with Hakim and Romelu.”
