According to UEFA, The 2019/20 Champions League campaign will be finished this summer in Portugal, it has been officially confirmed.
A statement from UEFA reads: “The Champions quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will be played as a straight knockout tournament in Lisbon between 12 and 23 August 2020. All these ties will be single-leg fixtures.”
The four remaining Round of 16 second-leg ties, including Chelsea’s away clash against Bayern Munich, will be played on August 7-8 and are set to take place either at the home team’s stadiums or in Portugal.
There could be some good news for Chelsea as Bayern will have not played for well over a month by 7-8 August.
However, the Blues will not be able to use new signings Hakim Ziyech or Timo Werner, UEFA have officially confirmed.
Do you think Chelsea still have the chance to qualify for the next round?
