Christian Pulisic finally makes Manchester United transfer decision

According to reports, Christian Pulisic plans to reverse course and reject a possible loan move to Manchester United.

The USA international had been seeking confrontational conversations with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel to find out where he fit in his boss’s plans as he had battled to gain Tuchel’s trust.

However, Pulisic is expected to be given few opportunity to play in his preferred positions because Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount have cemented their places in Tuchel’s starting lineup. Pulisic is known to have been miffed in the past when he was asked to fill in at wing-back or as a false nine.

The 23-year-old was considering his options as Atletico Madrid and Newcastle United both expressed interest in him, and Erik ten Hag was prepared to give him a temporary fix for his lack of playing time before the World Cup.

Chelsea, who have been unsuccessful in signing Wesley Fofana from Leicester City, were even said to have inquired about a prospective swap trade involving the unmotivated United captain Harry Maguire.

According to the Daily Mail, however, Pulisic is set to perform a U-turn and commit his immediate future to Chelsea where he plans to stay and fight for a first team place.
